Dear Parents and Guardians,
We invite you to become involved in PTA. There is a spirit of cooperation and progress at our school that we
would like to share with you. There will be many school activities that will help you become involved in your
child's education. The home-school partnership is strengthened by your involvement. The Mt Arlington PTA
also invites all parents to participate in PTA activities throughout the year.
Not all parents or guardians can attend school functions, but all can show interest in their child's
schoolwork by setting aside a few minutes each day to:
* listen while your child describes school day activities
* read to your child and listen while your child reads to you
* help with homework
* limit the viewing of television
Who we are
We are a dedicated group of parents and educators who are committing our lives to providing your child
with a nurturing environment where they can learn and excel to reach their full potential,
as students and more importantly as human beings.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to promote the welfare of the children in school, community, and place of worship, to secure
adequate laws for the care and protection of children.
We also militate to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may
cooperate intelligently in the education of children.
We strive for united efforts between educators and parents, as will secure for all children the highest
advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

7:30 in the MAPS cafeteria, not May 7, 2008 as indicated on the school calendar
